Auricula (architecture), w/ Tom Kemp, 2018
Garden in the courtyard of a church on the Groenburgwal canal of Amsterdam, the green shore, designed thinking through malleable, probiotic and hosting vocabularies. A series of workshops were initiated that involved drawing cognitive maps of the participants’ relationship to the garden. Assisted by artist Kim Wawer these translated into sixty ceramic vessels.
Auricula was part of Open Tuinen Dagen and of Open Monument Day in 2018 & hosted ‘warm earth music for plants’ performed by Christopher & Kevin (Pierre Bujeau), Jo Kali and Circular Ruins (Marijn Degenaar) on Oct 2018, with catering by our neighbours at Droog Design
Christopher & Kevin and Circular Ruins recorded this in the Church that hosts the garden
